We hope you had an absolutely wonderful Christmas, everyone and a fabulous New Year! Can you believe it is 2023 already? 2022 seemed to be over in a flash. Nevertheless, we were able to complete so many amazing projects last year, so let’s take a short trip down memory lane. In this blog, we will be taking a look at some of the stunning blinds we installed in 2022. This is a blinds system we installed just before we closed for Christmas and is definitely a perfect solution for any window but an excellent option for bedrooms. This is one of our new literise top-down bottom-up cellular blinds, not only do they look amazing but offer great energy efficiency and room-darkening properties. This is definitely one of our favourite Roman blinds we have installed! This is from our animal instincts KAI collection and is called Hector. Take a look at this installation our team completed for a customer with a new kitchen that needed a new blind. This customer wanted something with colour and impact and we had the perfect solution. The blind is finished with a chrome 32 cassette with a matching fabric insert and chrome bottom bar end caps. We cannot wait to complete more amazing installations in 2023! At GLE Blinds & Curtains we offer a range of beautiful and innovative blinds and curtains. It almost looks like magic! SmartRise Cordless systems are so simple to use and require very little force. Because of their cordless design, they are also brilliant for child safety.

Here at GLE Blinds & Curtains, we strongly advocate for the use of eco-recycled fabrics wherever possible. The textile industry is responsible for approximately 20% of the world’s water waste and 10% of all carbon emissions which is why Style Studio have created their new collection of fabrics.

The Fabrics have been developed using 100% recycled yarn that is derived from used drinking bottles. The bottles are mostly comprised of PET which is a plastic resin used in millions of consumer products including food and beverage packaging. They chose to use this material as it…

• Repurposes waste
• Reduces energy
• Reduces carbon footprint
• Is versatile and high value

The plastic bottles go through a thorough life cycle to ensure that the final product of the blinds reaches the peak level of quality that Style Studio aim for. The plastic containers are first recovered and taken to a mechanical recycling plant. They are then distributed to a production site and are then taken to be evaluated.

Style Studio’s eco fabrics are designed for use in both roller and vertical blinds and have the same great quality as any of the other fabrics in their extensive collection. They are also available in a wide range of prints and styles to suit any room of your home…

• Bathroom
• Bedroom
• Conservatory
• Kitchen
• Living Room
• Study

Allow us to introduce you to our old friend – Cellular Blinds. Over the years, GLE Blinds have been selling Cellular Blinds North East. This style of blind has garnered a lot of attention including a lot of false facts. In fact, they have fought off the stereotypes and stood the test of time, much to our pleasure. In this blog we will be discussing some of the benefits of Cellular Blinds and dispelling some of the myths. Variety At GLE, we offer ten unique styles of Cellular Blinds, each of which is completely functional and offers a wealth of benefits to your home. There are different colours, sizes and funky fabrics available for you to browse. Fabrics on offer include plain, blackout, luxury designs and much more. This variety allows you to find a perfect fit for your home that compliments your existing interior design. Privacy There are several kinds of Cellular Blinds available with varying degrees of opacity depending on your personal requirements. In case you want complete darkness in your room, blackout shades are available. You can also find several other types such as our Deluxe, Micro and Matrix options, each offering a different light or privacy level depending on your personal requirements. Energy Efficiency Hive Cellular Blinds North East use an improved cellular pleated structure to provide fantastic heat reduction. The honeycomb cells create air pockets inside the inner and outer fabric panels which work as great insulators. This means that you can maintain a consistent temperature within your home all year round. Perfectly Practical With Cellular Blinds, you have complete control over the light entering your home due to the top-down/bottom-up design. This construction lets you decide exactly where you want your shade to be placed in your window, blocking out direct sun without nixing natural light entirely. At GLE Blinds & Curtains we also offer a range of beautiful blinds and curtains. Visit www.gleblinds.co.uk for more information or call 0191 2525676.
